Geoff Neuman is Co-Captain of the West Geauga Cross Country
Team, and on the Track Team. Geoff Community Service includes
being Assistant Coach for Upward Basketball League, Basketball Coach
for his Church Sports Camp, and member of his Church Choir.
Honors/Awards include CVC Honorable Mention in Cross Country, and is a
member of the National Honor Society. Geoff will be attending
Miami University on a Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship and plans to major
in Physics.
Amanda Cooper April 2009
Amanda Cooper activities include being the West Geauga Varsity
Cheer leading Captain, Wolverette Captain, Interact, Key Club,
and Latin Club. Amanda volunteers at the food bank, and Habitat
for Humanity. Amanda's Honors/Awards include National Honors
Society, University of Rochester Kodak Young Leaders Award,
National Latin Exam Awards, Latin Club Award.. She plans on
attending either the University of Michigan, Syracuse, or Miami
University where she plans on studying a career

Louie Link is an active member of The West Geauga Football Team
(4yrs/2 Letters), West Geauga Basketball Team (4yrs/3 Letters), West
Geauga Track Team (3yrs/3 Letters) and the Student Council (3
yrs). Louie's community service includes the West G Rec Council
Basketball Coach, Triple Threat Basketball Camp, and the West Geauga
Football Youth Football Camp. Honor/Awards include First Team CVC
Defense 2007 (Football), First Team Geauga County Defense 2007
(Football), Second Team CVC Defense 2008 (Football), Second Team
Geauga County 2008 Offense (Football). First Team CVC Basketball
2009, Third Team News-Herald Basketball, Third Team
Northeast Ohio Basketball Division II. Louie plans on attending
either Kent State or John Carroll University and studying
Business/Accounting.

Corie is an active
member of the WGHS Soccer Team, HUGS, and Students for Change.
Her Community Service includes
WG Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Jack Rabbit Run, and the Habitat
for Humanity. Corie's post-high school plans are applying to
Wittenberg, Allegheny, and Capitol, where she plans on studying
Psychology or Criminology
Grace Whiteley January 2009
Grace is an active member of the WGHS Soccer Team, HUGS, NHS, and
Students for Change. Her Community Service includes tutoring, WG
Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, and the Jack Rabbit Run. Her
Honors/Awards include Williams College Book Award, and the Foreign
Language Award. Grace post high school plans include attending
Wittenberg, Capital, Miami, Washington, or Jefferson. She plans
on studying Psychology or Spanish
Elizabeth Beers December
2008
Elizabeth is an active member of the WGHS Marching Band, and
Musical Chorus, She is a Marching Band Squad Leader and on the
Band Council. For Community Service, Elizabeth runs the sound
system at Church, works in the Church Sunday Schools, as Secretary at
the Church,and packs food baskets at the City Mission. She is in
the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, and Church Youth Group Leadership
Team. Elizabeth's Honors/Awards: N.H.S. Secretary, National
Merit Scholar-Commended. Band Awards: Shellhammer, Foster,
Allen. Her post high school plans include possibly Cedarville
University, Grace College, or Calvin College and plans on
studying Special Education/Elementary Education. Elizabeth
also leads a Bible Study at School.

Daniel Cappelucci November

Daniel
is an active member of the Soccer Team, He volunteers his time
helping couch a Youth Soccer Team, Captain of the Soccer Team;
2nd Team CVC (twice); honorable Mention All-Greater Cleveland- 2nd
team; and All-Greater Cleveland Offensive Team MVP in 2008.
Daniel plans on applying to The Ohio State University, University of
Kentucky and Kent State and is considering a career in Architecture.
Chris Dawson October

Chris
is an active member of Student Council, Latin Club and National Honor
Society Chris volunteers running power point for his church (Christ
Presbyterian) every third week for contemporary service, and volunteers
his time in various community service projects through National Honor
Society.Student Council. Chris has received a 4.0 . Awards; is a
Robert E. Cook Honors College Nominee,
has received Latin Club Awards (both individually and team-based) and
an AP Scholar Award. Chris plans on applying to Miami University
and University of VA, and is considering a career in Linguistics,
Foreign Language, Education or Sociology/Anthropology.
Sarah Zyzanski September
2008
Sarah
is an active member of the Marching Band, Captain of the Wolverettes,
Band Council Vice President, Tutoring for the National Honor Society,
and a member of the Latin Club. Sarah volunteers for the Music
Team, Vacation Bible School, teaching at the Geauga County Senior
Center, helping with the Learning Disabled students at Park Elementary,
and teaching Sunday School. She has received the National Merit
Scholar, various OJCL Convention Awards, and English Book Award
(sophomore year). Sarah plans on applying to Columbia, The Ohio
State University, Michigan, and New York University, and is considering
a career in General Medicine.

Nicholas
has been actively involved in Varsity Football, Student Council in
2006, and part of the WGHS Yearbook Committee.
He has volunteered his time at Metzenbaum School, Camp Fitch as a
"one on one" Counselor for students with special needs, and he tutors
students. Nick has received the Book Award-Family Consumer
Science, Honor Roll Student, and was All Conference in
Football. He plans on attending Akron University majoring in
Education. Nicholas is very close to his grandparents who take
care of four mentally challenged people, whom he helps out frequently.
Caitlin Insana April 2008
Caitlin
has been actively involved in Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball,
Student Council, and HUGS for several years, She was also WGHS
yearbook editor. Caitlin has volunteered her time for WG Kiwanis
Pancake Breakfast. St. Anselm's Fair, as well as assistant coach for
St. Anselm's Volleyball Camp and WG Middle School Camp. She has
received the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Award and CVC Sportsmanship
Award. She was also Varsity Basketball Captain, First Team all
conference basketball, News Herald All Star Team, Plain Dealer All
Star, Plain Dealer Player of the week, and 2nd in all of Northeast Ohio
for kills and blocks in volleyball. Caitlin plans on attending
High Point University or Slippery Rock, majoring in Communications and
Public Relations.

Athletically,
Lucas has been active in Soccer and Baseball. He was Named
Defensive MVP Boy Soccer Team in 2007 and was The West Geauga Kiwanis
Science Fair winner in 2007. He is a member of the National Honor
Society. Lucas plans on attending Kent Stat or the University of
Cincinnati to pursue a career in Architecture and Business

Brian's
School Activities include Football, Track , and Student council (for
all four years). Brian has participated in the Kiwanis Science
Fair and has volunteered at the Kiwanis Christmas Tress Sales, and our
Pancake Breakfasts. He is also a volunteer at the Metzenbaum
Center as a Tutor. Brian's awards include Honor Roll, Excellence
Award Winner, Second Team C.V.C. , Second Team News Herald,
Honorable Mention Geauga County, First Team C.V.C. , Second Team
Northeast Ohio. Brian plans to study Physical Therapy at either
Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg, or Otterbein
Kate Snyder January
2008
Kate
is a member of the Marching Band (where she is a squad leader), Band
Council, Jazz Band, Students for Change (where she serves as president)
National Honor Society, Latin Club, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA -where
she serves as president) Academic Challenge, Philosophy Club, Curio (
Lit Arts Magazine). Kate volunteers at the Rescue Village and is
a member of the Girl Scouts.
Her Honors include Cleveland Technical Society Council Outstanding
Junior, National Merit Semi-Finalist, National Latin Exam,Sum
ma Cum Laude 2005-2006-2007, Solo and Ensemble Contest- Trombone Solo-
, rating of 1 in class B (2006) ,rating of 1 class A 2007 &
2008. Kate plans on studying Engineering, Genetics, Physics at
one of the following- Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Stanford,
Harvard, Rice, Duke, Cornell, North Western, Johns Hopkins, Olin
College of Engineering , or THE Ohio State University. Kate is
very active in horseback riding and has worked on environmental
Engineering Research Project At CWRU.
William Kulp

William
is a member of the Latin Club, Marching Band, Student Council, Jazz
Band, National Honor Society and Lego Robotics Club. Bill's
community service includes the Boy Scouts, Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast,
and Vacation Bible School at Christ Presbyterian Church. Honors
include National Merit recognized student, 10th Grade Math Book
Award, American Association of Physics, Teachers Outstanding Physics
Student of the Year, National Latin Exam, and Bill is Summa Cum
Laude. Bill plans on studying Engineering/ Computer Science -
Robotics at either Case Western Reserve University, Carnegie Mellon
University, or THE Ohio State University. Bill is in the top 5%
of his class.

Haley Ebersbacher November 2007
Haley
has participated in Student Council, Varsity Soccer and Varsity Track
from 2004 - present. She has volunteered her time in the
community for the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Community Clean Up
Days, and coaching Soccer for the West Geauga Girls' Traveling Soccer
Team and Rec. Council Teams. Some of her honors and awards were
the Kodak Leadership Award, Smith Book Award, National Latin Exam
Awards, Second Team Al CVC for Soccer and Honorable Mention for
All CVC Teams for Track, All Academic Ohio. Haley is applying to
Slippery Rock University, Davidson University and George Washington
University, hoping to major in Pre-Med and Exercise Science.
Maggie Carter October 2007
Maggie's school activities include Soccer,
Marching Band, Wolverettes and Cheer leading, She earned letters
in Varsity Cheer leading and Band, earning an MVP sweatshirt. She
was also nominated for National Youth Conference, For the last
four summers, she has worked as an Assistant Counselor for children
with special needs at Frontier Day Camp at Ursuline College. She
is applying to Ursuline College, Bowling Green University and Ohio
University. Maggie plans on majoring in Special Education.
Carter Poe September 2007
Carter is a member of the soccer team and
is a youth leader at Christ Presbyterian Church of Chesterland.
He works as an aide to handicapped children. Poe is the captain
of the Soccer Team, chosen Second Team all CVC, First Team in
Greater Cleveland, and Third Team All State. Carter is also on
the Honor Roll. He has applied to Duquesne and St. Francis
Universities. He is considering a Major in Exercise Science.
