The Patriotic Yard Contest has a Winner!

The Kiwanis Club of West Geauaga was not able to have our Independence Day Parade due to Covid19 this year, so in lieu of our parade, we had a contest where families' lawns were judged based on their patriotism.  The turnout was great for the First Most Patriotic Yard Contest.  Judging sported some hard choices,  Joel Cohen and his son Robert took First Prize.  Joel is no stranger to winning awards.  He has won trophies for his floats in the Kiwanis Independence Day Parade as well.  His large yard on Caves Road had wonderful patriotic symbolism and it was evident that a lot of hours and creativity went into his patriotic yard masterpiece.  he received a trophy and a gift certificate for his family to the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast next spring.

Second Place went to Audry Edmunds for her beautiful display on Cedar Road.  She also received a Kiwanis gift certificate.

Thank you to all who participated!
