CHESTER
TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY
DOCUMENT SHREDDING
The Chester Township together with the West Geauga
Kiwanis Club will be holding a
Community Document Shredding day on
Saturday August 22nd from 9am to 1pm.
A mobile shredder will be located in
the West
Geauga Plaza parking lot, north end
near Chase Bank. The West Geauga
Plaza
is near the intersection of Mayfield Rd and Route 306 and has
entrances from either of those roads. Any
documents containing sensitive information; such as taxpayer ID, birth
dates or credit card numbers may be taken to this central location for
shredding. You can have your car unloaded by the
Kiwanians, or if you prefer to witness the shredding, you may park off
to the side to watch it on the two truck-mounted video cameras.
The heavy duty equipment can shred
documents containing staples or paper clips; however 3 ring binders or
other excessive metal should be removed to allow the shredding to be
acceptable for paper recycling. Please remove
non-sensitive documents such as taxpayer instructions or manuals to
minimize processing time and unnecessary shred volume.
This service is being provided to
the local community residents and businesses of West
Geauga. There is no charge, nor is
there a box quantity limit. However, if you have
over 5 Xerox size boxes or are a business, you must pre-register by
contacting Ken Mantey, 440-729-2869,
and you will be scheduled a time to minimize everyone’s line wait
time.
