Summer Concerts are held at
Chester Township Park Gazebo
on WEDNESDAY
nights from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
In case of rain ,
the concert will be moved indoors at
Mayfield Church
(southwest corner of Caves and Mayfield roads)
A rain date of Aug 18 will be set for
The Geauga County Fair Band
and the concert will remain at the park.

Don
Wojtila Band
We start out the season with the Don
Wojtila Band which is new to us, but well know throughout the
area. This group of professional musicians plays a wide variety
of musical selections. They are well known in the Cleveland
ethnic community for their polkas. Christine Hibbs. the vocalist
and a resident of Chesterland, has won numerous awards.
Individually and as a group they have performed throughout the country
and in the Caribbean and have made a number of recordings. the
West Geauga Kiwanis welcome the Don Wojtila Band

Fork Bluegrass Quartet
Clear Fork
has
been
performing it's exciting brand of Bluegrass, Acoustic Country Music and
American Fiddle tunes since 1984. Audiences throughout the
country have become acquainted with their fresh music style through the
group's live performances and their appearances on "Garrison Keillor's
American Radio Company" and West Virginia Public Radio's "Mountain
Stage". We are happy they are able to join us again this year.

Dan Zola Orchestra
This ochestra, new to us this year,
is a nineteen piece big band steeped
in the tradition of the famous swing and dance bands, Count Basie,
Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Les Brown, Harry James. Ellington and
Sinatra are just a sampling of the many authentic sounds
featured. Whether it's Swing, Latin, Waltzes of Fox Trots, this
band has the arrangements that bring back the nostalgia of the big band
era. The featured vocalist, Dianne Palmer, recreates the great
vocals of Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day, Helen Ward, Doris Day and a
host of others.

Orleans Jazz Ensemble
This
ensemble
performs Dixieland Jazz as a united group of musicians. They
perform collective improvisation- on-the-spot musical creation by
several musicians at once. They play in the authentic style
reminiscent of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band in New Orleans.
They have been a popular part of our series and we welcome them back
again this year.

Lenny Russo Band
This band
is a popular favorie returning to our bandstand again this year.
They create a
celebration air with a broad and varied repertoire of happy
music, This
well-rehearsed band of professionals mixes humor into their selection
from Swing, Dixieland and Latin favorites

Geauga County Fair
Band (Rain Date: 8/14/10)
This large
concert band consisting of about fifty members produces a big sound
while playing a wide variety of tunes ranging from patriotic marches to
Broadway Show Tunes to Folk Songs. This talented group of
musicians from throughout Geauga County represents our Great Geauga
County Fair, They continue to prove extremely popular with
us
last year and we are very happy to have them back as an exciting climax
of this summer concert series.
