Lenny Russo Band
We
start out the season with the Lenny Russo Band, a popular favorite
returning to our bandstand again this year. This group of
professional
musicians crate a celebration air with a broad and varied repertoire of
happy music. This
well-rehearsed group mixes humor into their selection
from Swing, Dixieland and Latin favorites. We welcome them back.

Clear
Fork Bluegrass Quartet
Clear Fork
has
been
performing it's exciting brand of Bluegrass, Acoustic Country Music and
American Fiddle tunes since 1984. Audiences throughout the
country have become acquainted with their fresh music style through the
group's live performances and their appearances on "Garrison Keillor's
American Radio Company" and West Virginia Public Radio's "Mountain
Stage". We are happy they are able to join us again this year.
07/20/11 Night Owls
New
to us, this group is a unique ten piece ensemble specializing in the
authentic performance of the truly irresistible dance music of the
Roaring 20's; the "Golden Age of Jazz". This tuxedo clad group
performs some unique specialty songs of the era as well as foxtrots,
waltzes and standards including "Black Bottom" and "The
Charleston".
We welcome them for what promises to be an entertaining and lively
evening.

Don
Wojtila Band
This group of professional musicians plays a wide variety
of musical selections. They are well known in the Cleveland
ethnic community for their polkas. Christine Hibbs. the vocalist
and a resident of Chesterland, has won numerous awards.
Individually and as a group they have performed throughout the country
and in the Caribbean and have made a number of recordings. the
West Geauga Kiwanis welcome back the Don Wojtila Band.

Swingtime Big Band
Returning after an absence of several
years, this seventeen piece big band specializes in the tunes of
yesteryear ranging from Glen Miller hits and swing to Latin and
Motown. Their vocalist, Curtis Avant provides a lively
performance of song styles ranging from Sinatra to 60's Rock.
They have been performing in Northeast Ohio for over twenty
years. We welcome them back.

Geauga County Fair
Band (Rain Date: 8/17/11)
This large
concert band consisting of about fifty members produces a big sound
while playing a wide variety of tunes ranging from patriotic marches to
Broadway Show Tunes to Folk Songs. This talented group of
musicians from throughout Geauga County represents our Great Geauga
County Fair. They proved extremely popular in their previous
performances with us and we are very happy to have them back as an
exciting climax
of this summer concert series.
