Summer Concerts 2018
 
Kiwanis Summer Concerts are held at
Chester Township Park Gazebo
   on WEDNESDAY evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
starting July 11th and ending August 15th

In case of rain ,
the concert will be moved indoors to
Mayfield Church
(southwest corner of Caves and Mayfield roads)

2018 Schedule
    

7/11 – Swing Time Big Band

For over 25 years, the Swing Time Big Band from Cleveland, Ohio has routinely delivered top-shelf

performances year-in and year-out throughout Ohio. “True to the era, true to the music” – the Swing

Time Big Band delivers the authentic arrangements from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Tommy

Dorsey, Stan Kenton, Glen Miller and so many, many more – the way they were intended to be played

and enjoyed. With a song book of over 500 tunes, this is a band everyone will enjoy and want to hear.

 

7/18 – Erie Heights Brass Ensemble

This ensemble is a brass sextet of professional musicians performing with two trumpets, horn,

trombone, euphonium and tubs creating the style of a small British brass band. They perform a wide

variety of music ranging from the baroque and classical to the contemporary and popular, including

jazz and swing.

 

7/25 – Gaetano’s Underworld Blues Band


This blues trio formed in 2010 and has toured the U.S., Europe and Asia. The Underworld Band

plays creative blues shows that

audiences love and will remember. They are a fun, audience friendly, danceable, blues show band that

can also crank out funk,

rock and soul. Their sound is Eric Clapton mixed with R&B, very danceable and audience friendly.

 

8/1 – Blu Monsoon

 

One of the most sought after bands in Northeast Ohio, Blu Monsoon averages over 100 public performances per year at music venues and special events such as The Tri-C and Wooster Jazz Fests. 107.3FM The Wave, commercial broadcast radio, has been playing their music.

 

Their contemporary jazz music is created to have broad appeal without being cliché. In addition to original material, they perform unique interpretations of classics such as The Chicken, Autumn Leaves, Chameleon and Fly Me to the Moon. They also play arrangements of pop hits by diverse artists such as Sam Smith, Alicia Keyes, Maroon 5 and Amy Winehouse.

 

 

8/8 – Dan Zola Orchestra

 

This 19 piece big band is steeped in the tradition of the famous swing and dance bands. Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Les Brown, Harry James, Ellington and Sinatra are just a sampling of the many authentic sounds that are featured by the Dan Zola Orchestra.



Whether it's Swing, Latin, Waltzes or Fox Trots, this band has the arrangements that bring back the nostalgia of the big band era that has thrilled countless audiences over the past decades.


8/15- FM77

Take a trip back in time to the year 1977 as FM77 performs hits you were listening to on your FM dial back then. (plus 1978, 1979, and some early 80's because it's great stuff too). 
Through the combination of meticulous musicianship and modern technology these five musicians can reproduce many songs you don't hear other bands play.  Their song list is certain to bring back memories of those fabulous 70's.  FM77 features four uniquely powerful vocalists enabling them to cover a wide variety of songs,  When combined, they are able to reproduce all those familiar harmonies required in their unique set list.  The band consists of two lead female vocalists, one guitar/lead vocal, bass/lead vocal, and drums,  All members of FM77 are seasoned musicians who have been playing in local bands for over years.

 and Mayfield Road (Route 322) in Chesterland, Ohio 44026
